Anti-Perception

***meaning, no perception at all… zero insight. ***

A writing challenge

Humans assume consciousness is about seeing more. What if some beings advance by perceiving less—stripping reality down until only the raw, unmediated core is left?

It’s hard to imagine this concept, but for an example, pretend that you must write something about a character in a story that has this perception. I imagine an insect like being; however, I’m judging insects by the lack of my understanding. What if, my speculations are wrong? What if, they are able to comprehend because of radioactive waves of matter reacting to me in my lack of knowledge? It’s so diverse and so many different possibilities.

Imagine beings whose enlightenment comes from forgetting the universe, not knowing it.

Weird huh?

From having a near death experience, I have noticed the human perception banks are filled with different types of ideas and emotional experiences. However, most humans believe that their experience is the only right expression of the idea of dying and death.

Some cling only to the sound of their own perspective. But dear ones, the universe was never woven from a single thread. It is a tapestry of countless strands—hundreds, millions, even billions of ways to see, to shape, to understand. Are you able to understand what I’ve written? Good, if so, let’s move forward, if not, chew on this until you get it.

Never lock your beliefs inside a box and stamp them with the label of “truth.” The moment you do, you close the door to mystery. You cheat yourself of the deeper meanings, the hidden truths, the vast horizons of understanding that are waiting just beyond the edges of your current sight.

Do not let yourself sink into silence, nor fade into the shadows of unacknowledged truths. Instead, open the gates of your mind to the immeasurable potential of the universe. Possibility is not a rare treasure—it is infinite, stretching in every direction at once. It is both presence and absence, dream and reality, waiting to be touched by your awareness. What you dare to see, what you choose to believe, what you breathe into form—these threads weave together to shape the fabric of your creation, your reality.

What you choose not to see, not to create, does not disappear. It lingers—patient, silent, yet near. It hovers at the edge of your presence, waiting for the moment you awaken. For nothing is truly lost; it simply waits for recognition, for the courage of your gaze, for the spark of your willingness to bring it into being. If you don’t get it, someone else will.

And in that waiting lies the very fears you once banished. The ones you labeled as demons, devils, dark creatures, or forbidden thoughts. Yet they are not punishments—they are invitations. They ask to be faced, to be understood, to be transformed. For what you fear most often guards the doorway to your greater self. And dear ones, that’s what’s important for you to grow up and know that the Primal Source of Everything created you for this purpose. To learn as it did and does. To grow beyond your wildest dreams. To become the magnificent creator you were created to become. Because you are a being who was brought into this universe to become your best and nothing else less. Now, it’s time for you to start living it.

Now perceive what is a new approach to your own perceptions. An idea that throws you off your own mindset in the definition of dying and perceptions far from your own reality. Blossom from nothingness of your own imagination coming from no insight of your own into an imaginative experience that only you created from the pebbles of floating insights surrounding our universe. It is now yours and you see the story and you share if you want to.

So it will be with extraterrestrial lives in contrast to our own. Their perception will not mirror ours. Some will stand far beyond us in advancement, while others may resemble the smallest creatures in our own ecosystem. Their existence will not be bound to human experience, human emotions, or human knowledge—for their reality has been shaped by other laws, other paths, other skies.

And that’s that. Anti-Perception is real when one is of a different kind of species other than our own.

Can you write a short story in a few paragraphs about such a being other than a human being? Tell me about its beliefs, if it has a faith, does it acknowledge other beings? What about parenting and is it biologically compatible with Earth and our environment? Does it survive in oxygen, water, helium, heat or severe cold climates?

They call themselves “Kaelith”. Not flesh, not bone—light made fluid. They do not pray to gods but to resonance of the primal beginning of all in this episode of the fractal spheres of changes. Existence, to them, is vibration. Harmony is truth. Dissonance, only the sound of growth.

They see every awareness as kin. Human, insect, alien—it makes no difference. To know is to belong. Parenting is not ownership: young are born as glowing spheres, nurtured by many, sung into their own shape.

Oxygen is poison. Water drowns them. They breathe helium, live on radiation, and thrive in heat or freezing void. Cold slows the song. Heat quickens it. Viruses are their gourmet delicacies. Bacterial toxins are their wastes. We are a pondering questionable species and they are unsure if we are to be devoured or worshipped. Because we are unknowns to them.

If we ever met, they would not see “other.” They would hear us as another note in the eternal song. but still study us until we are cleared as something worthy of continuance to live.

Or perhaps, you see them as a godlike exceptional perspective and worthy of development into a god… it’s up to you. You are the author, the navigator of your story.

What does it look like to your perception? Remember, you are the writer who creates the beings that are not like us and you can build onto your imagination by using a thesaurus, and your awakened imagination and perceptions. Have fun. Try not to scare yourself, and if you do, you have the power to break the rules that you created and change the direction of your story.

My art

Shoot for the most imaginative perception possible. Stretch your awareness.
