My Credo of Love

Love is not a phrase to be spoken lightly.
It is not a passing “I love you” tossed into the air, hollow and weightless.
Love is truth, lived out in action.
It is the steady hand of honesty, the choice to be real even when it is hard.
Love proves itself not in words, but in the way we care, the way we remain, the way we act with integrity.
For me, love cannot exist without truthfulness.
Deception is its opposite; silence without sincerity is its absence.
Love demands presence, patience, and the courage to live in truth.
This is the measure I hold:
Love is not what is said, but what is done in truth.
And in that truth, love endures.
