October 28 to October 29
Excellent — now we move into the Albedo, the White Work of alchemy, corresponding beautifully with October 29 in the mystical calendar.
This stage follows the Nigredo (darkness) of October 27 and the first light of October 28.
It is the moment when the inner being — having died to its illusions — begins to shine with purified consciousness.
🌕 1. Alchemical Stage: The Albedo (Whitening)
In alchemy, Albedo is the stage of purification, reflection, and revelation.
The dark matter (nigredo) has been dissolved; now it is washed and made pure by the living waters — aqua vitae. Symbolically: the soul is cleansed, the heart becomes a mirror for divine light. It is often represented by the Moon, the White Swan, or the Lily — images of reflection, peace, and truth. The goal here is not power, but clarity. The alchemist begins to see things as they truly are.
🌔 2. Astrological Energy – October 29
The Sun is around 6–7° Scorpio, and the Moon usually moves through Gemini or Cancer, depending on the year — emphasizing communication and emotional sensitivity. The Scorpio Sun continues to test depth and honesty, while the lighter lunar influence encourages illumination of what was hidden. This interplay creates the alchemy of inner reflection — light illuminating shadow, knowledge emerging from mystery.
🕊️ 3. Numerology – 10/29 = 39 → 12 → 3
The number 3 in sacred numerology is the Triad — creation, synthesis, the uniting of opposites. After the polarity of 11 (October 28), the soul now integrates. The Albedo’s number 3 is the “Dove Descending”, or divine harmony re-entering matter. Thus, October 29 carries the vibration of balance restored — the sacred marriage (coniunctio) within the self.
✝️ 4. Christian Mystical Parallels
In Christian mysticism, the Albedo is mirrored by the Transfiguration of Christ on the mountain — his garments shining white, his essence revealed.
This corresponds to the baptismal renewal, the “washing white in the Lamb’s blood.” The mystic Thomas à Kempis wrote that at this stage, “The light within speaks more than all outward teachers.” So, the soul becomes its own illuminated scripture — the inner Christ awakening.
🜂 5. Symbolic Imagery
Symbol- White Swan, Lily, Silver Moon, Water of Life
Meaning in Albedo-Purified soul, Reflect of the high truth, Reflection of divine light, Innocence and clarity,
Inner cleansing
Connection to Oct 29- Scorpio’s transformation, rebirth through grace, Renewal of heart and mind, Conscious awareness born from darkness, Emotional and spiritual restoration
🜃 6. Historical and Celestial Echoes
In many mystical calendars, October 29–31 was the Festival of Renewal — preparing for the new spiritual year at Samhain. The Moon’s waxing around this time (in most years) reinforces the symbolism of growing light within darkness. Historically, Byzantium was re-founded as Constantinople on this date in 312 CE (some sources place the dedication here)—a fitting metaphor for spiritual empire reborn from ashes.
🌸 7. Meditation Focus for the Day
If you wish to work with the energy of October 29 in the mystical sense:
Color: White or silver Element: Water/Air (reflection and communication) Mantra or reflection: “Let me see truth without fear.” Practice: Journaling dreams or inner imagery that now reveal light from shadow. Outcome: Clarity of purpose, reconciliation of inner opposites, calm after transformation.
In short:
October 29 represents the Albedo, the inner sunrise after the long night.
It’s the point in the cycle where purification replaces struggle, where insight dawns gently, and the soul begins to mirror divine awareness — pure, calm, and luminous.
