What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it?
Hmm? Figuring out 72 years of eating some very good food is difficult. Some of the best food was inexpensive. I think it was a time in the 1970s, eating at a restaurant with paper on the table, and a load of crawfish, crabs, and other shellfish. It was yummy. I don’t remember the price. I don’t remember thinking about the price. It was one of the best eats of all.
My wedding dinner in New Orleans with my husband John, was at a restaurant that is famous and I can’t remember the name, but the food was expensive and delicious.
Baltimore crabs in the airport, 1970s. Delicious. moderately priced.
As far as “the most expensive” food, must not have been to good, I only remember cringing over the price when the food was so so.
Restaurants in whole of the wall places that have moderate prices are generally the best restaurants, in my opinion, except one.
