From Trafalgar Square

What historical event fascinates you the most?

The summer of 1969 felt electric, as if the very air knew something extraordinary was about to happen. I was in school in Beckington, near Bath, and the world suddenly seemed smaller—stitched together by television screens and dreams.

I watched the Moon landing from Trafalgar Square, surrounded by strangers who felt like family for that one miraculous moment. We held our breath as Neil Armstrong stepped into history, his voice ghosting through the static from a world away. My father would have loved it—his universe was built from science and possibility—and for the first time, I understood why he always looked up at the stars as if they were calling him home. 🌙✨

Did we really land on the Moon? 🌕
