November 8

— November 8 is closely tied to Adolf Hitler and a pivotal moment in early Nazi history. Here’s the historical and symbolic context:

⚔️ The Beer Hall Putsch (November 8–9, 1923)

On the evening of November 8, 1923, Adolf Hitler and his followers attempted a coup d’état in Munich, Germany.

Hitler, along with General Erich Ludendorff and members of the Nazi Party, stormed the Bürgerbräukeller beer hall, where Bavarian officials were holding a political meeting. Hitler fired a pistol into the ceiling and declared a “national revolution.” The plan was to seize power in Bavaria and then march on Berlin — similar to Mussolini’s “March on Rome.” The coup failed by the next day, November 9, when police opened fire, killing 16 Nazis and four police officers.

Though a failure, this event became mythologized by the Nazi movement. Hitler was imprisoned afterward and used his time to write Mein Kampf, which became their ideological foundation.
