Are you Stupid!?!?!

Or just plainly ignorant?

How to respond to ignorance by using politeness and manners.

By BoJenn

Have you ever wondered how to tell someone they are down right stupid or (using manners) ignorant?

Let’s consider a few examples of being impeccably polite while remaining pointed—likely beyond the grasp of those who, regrettably, lack both understanding and common sense.

  1. “That’s one way to see it; there’s also quite a bit of evidence that suggests otherwise.” At this point post your links to their uninformed posts.

  2. “That’s a common misconception — easy to make, honestly.” This maybe too polite for me, but then again, I need to be less abrasive in my approach.

  3. “You might find it interesting to read ; it really clarifies that point.” Here is another way to include your sources of knowledge and information. Make sure your sources are credible.

  4. “I see where you’re coming from, but I think there’s a bit more to understand about it.” Once again, prepare to present credible arguments.

  5. “Forgive me, but I believe your understanding may not be entirely complete.” Again, have your credible sources ready to present.

Then, there is the roll your eyes in utter dismay and disbelief at what they’ve posted, because they probably won’t see you, and you can retain your dignity while being sarcastically offended with utter ignorance.
