How have your political views changed over time?
My political views didn’t just change—they shifted by 186% after my near-death experience. What began as a gradual questioning became a complete realignment. I moved from identifying as a Republican to becoming a Democrat, not because of party loyalty, but because my understanding of humanity fundamentally changed.
After crossing that threshold, labels lost their grip. What mattered was compassion over control, truth over fear, and community over hierarchy. Policies stopped being abstract ideas and became questions of human consequence—who is protected, who is heard, and who is left behind. The experience stripped away ideology and left clarity in its place.
I didn’t come back the same person. When you glimpse life beyond survival, you no longer vote from habit or inheritance—you vote from conscience.
