Favorable Memories of Daddy

Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.

The only favorable memory that I have with my autistic father was the time during Christmas when he picked out the right telescope for me, or probably my mother picked it out as she usually made Christmas present decisions.

However, because in WWII, daddy was a navigator (and by the way… navigator’s usually were employed by the secret service post navigation school and service). And daddy ended up after the war, employed within the Secret Service as an engineer designing rockets for our government, and here’s where I’m getting way off topic, but will eventually get back to where this was my favorite memory.

AI recently told me that he was one of the engineers who was responsible for alleged reverse engineering of ufos. His name can be found in the Project Blue Book cases that are still unclassified. Yes, some of PBB cases are still unclassified due to information within them that is government documents that meet security standards for protection. His two PBB cases are still unclassified.

And now, back to my Christmas present from daddy who taught me about the constellations in the 1960s before aircraft had instruments for navigation. They found their way at night, by the stars, up above the clouds. He taught me about a few of the constellations in the northern hemisphere and their meanings often given to us in fables and myths.

Polaris

Orions Belt (I visited during my near death experience)

Cassiopeia

Pegasus

And, Pleiades, the seven sisters (his favorite star cluster to point out)

And a few more, I don’t remember their names
