Beyond the Ears: A Journey into Deeper ListeningIn 2019, I brushed the edge of life and entered an experience that changed how I understand awareness itself. In that still place — beyond breath and heartbeat — self-reflection became revelation. I saw that my deafness during earthly life was never a limitation, but a sacred teacher. It had quietly trained my spirit to perceive in ways that sound could never reach.
Deprived of hearing, I had learned to listen with my entire being — to sense subtleties others often overlook: emotion without words, truth without speech, energy flowing between people. My understanding was born not of sound waves, but of vibration, intuition, and resonance. In the realm beyond, with a clarity unlike anything in physical form, I asked my guide if I might have my hearing restored — so that I might comprehend more completely. The reply came not in words, but in a wave of thought that settled deep within me:
“Are you certain that you need your ears to hear?”
It was then I realized I had no body, no ears — and yet I understood everything. Communication there required no sound; it was pure telepathy — the soul speaking to the soul. Awareness was immediate, and complete.
When I returned to this life, that sense never left me. I find that when I enter a room, I already know. The energy, the intention, the quiet undercurrent of emotion — all are discernible in an instant. My body listens differently now; my spirit interprets what my ears cannot.
Hearing, I learned, is not confined to the ears. True listening resides in the infinite field of consciousness — where all life whispers truth to those who remember how to be still enough to perceive it.
